Emilee and I snowshoeing with her sister Jenna and her soon to be fiance Morgan. Notice my eyes, NO GLASSES!!! I saved my pennies, nickles, dimes, and dollar bills for over 2 years and finally I had saved enough to get Lasik. Dr. Ballif from the Mount Ogden Eye Center which is part of the TLC Vision centers throughout the country did the surgery. It was a bit scary though when he cut the cornea and moved the flap over so they could perform the surgery. As soon as my flap was removed everything went completely blurry. It was an extremely bizzar feeling. So I went and had it done over the Christmas break. It has been wonderful. No bent frames, no scratched lenses; I can see when I'm at the swimming pool and can play basketball without worrying about my glasses getting broken. Maybe they're minor things, but I sure love it.

Emilee's brother in law Jeff Olson somehow talked Emilee and I into running in the Wasatch Back relay this June. The race originates in Logan and goes through back roads and mountains all the way to Park City. In all, it's about 180 mile race with 12 people that each run 3 legs a piece. So we've both been running and training everyday to get in shape so we can survive the race. We're both really excited and looking forward to the race. Here's the homepage with all the details of the race http://www.ragnarrelay.com/wasatchback/index.php.

One day we go to the pantry to get some fruit snacks and we find an empty box on the top shelf... we didn't think too much of it at the time. Then we go to get some fruit roll ups from the basement food storage and we find another empty box. Hmmmm..... Somethings going on around here. A couple of days later while picking up toys in a bedroom we find the evidence - and we confront the room's occupant - ANDY! We ask how they got there and he insisted that a mouse must have taken them. He stuck by that story for a few days and came up with some really creative ways that a mouse could have climbed into the pantry and then back into his room to leave the empty wrappers. A couple of days later, he finally came clean and admitted that they were REALLY GOOD!!!

A beached whale in Pleasant View!!! Okay, so work has been extremely stressful recently and it's hard to leave work at work. Today we just got dumped on with snow - somewhere around 14" or so in spots. Work today was really stressful so in an effort to relax and get a good laugh I decided to put my shorts on and go and make a snow angel. I dared all the boys to do it too but no one took me up on the $10 bet so I guess I get to keep it all.
